Our two main specialties lie in autonomy/robotics and in ultra-lightweight composite structures design and analysis.
In autonomy and robotics, we are growing our team and doing large-scale projects in conjunction with our parent company, Aurora Flight Sciences. A prime development area is in further developing a "core" of common autonomy functions that can be implemented across multiple platforms.
in composite structures design, we focus on speciality applications, including unconventional unmanned systems and solar-powered aircraft. The engineering team at Aurora Swiss Aerospace is well versed in mechanical and structures design, especially in the use of carbon-fiber composites. CATIA V5 is the tool of choice for design work, supplemented by FEMAP/NASTRAN for analysis, as well as analysis and optimization conducted with hand calculations and custom tools.
